Past

Owner Jonathan Jackson formally established Papervale Trees in 2015. A past student of Greenmount College, Jonathan went on to achieve a BSc (Hons) in Arboriculture & Urban Forestry from Myerscough College. Now with over 15 years experience in the industry and an identified need for a diverse range of quality Home Grown trees within Northern Ireland, Papervale Trees has taken root.

Present

Our first few years in business has proven very successful. The nursery has received Gold Awards at Ireland's two premier garden festivals, Garden Show Ireland and Bloom. Feedback from customers has been excellent with an appreciation evident for the ability to locally purchase a broad range of often difficult to source trees.

In 2017 Papervale Trees joined forces with Growers NI and the Irish Specialist Nursery Association (ISNA), evidence of the nurseries growing footing within the countries horticulture industry.

Future

The skills of tree growing and nursery stock production are slowly being eradicated due an over reliance on importing plants from Europe. Papervale Trees are one of a small number of growers committed to continuing Northern Ireland's fine heritage of plant production and furthermore we aim to be the premier local provider of specialist home grown trees.
We continue to add new varieties to our collection with another 40 new lines to be introduced throughout 2019 including some rare varieties of Acer (Maple), Betula (Birch),  Pinus (Pine) and Quercus (Oak).
