About This Tree
This tree was first introduced in 1811 by John Fraser from USA. Abies Fraseri has a pyramidal habit and small dark shiny leaves, which have two silver bands on their underside, making it the Christmas Tree of choice for many.
It grows into a large evergreen reaching up to 15 metres in the UK with a spread of about 8 metres and thrives on most free draining soils. The Abies fraseri will produce small purple tinges cones that mature to a dark brown.
