Native from the country of Ireland, the Arbutus unedo also known as the Strawberry Tree is a medium tree, usually reaching a height of 10m. This specimen usually can be found growing on bare limestone rock when found in Ireland.

The strawberry Tree can be seen with tough glossy leaves which are of a deep green colour and have an elliptical shape to them. During the spring time, some buds will begin to appear which come summer time, will burst into bloom with beautiful white flowers with a slight pink tinge to them. All year round, the strawberry tree will bear some orange fruits which are edible and contain some seeds inside of them.

A perfect tree for any type of garden which can be easily grown and has a year round interest with its beautiful flowers, green foliage and its year round berries. Grows best in well drained soils and will be able to tolerate any soil type.
